Quotidian Contraptions Thesis - Semester 02
As part of my thesis exploration in 'Ghosts of Industry' where I explored the tracing of identity through double exposure of landscape and portrait photography. As my project developed and evolved so did this exercise, and it became an exploration that was analogous with my approach to reformat the landscape and local industry - and thus the identity. I chose to use the same portraits for the most part as it became a narrative development which could be retraced.
This process was achieved using similar methods as before, combining the images in photoshop then using Audacity to 'glitch' them. This enabled multiple effects to be deployed to create intriguing new images. Below is a series of the same image put through a number of processes with varying outcomes. More to come soon.
