Orígenes is a Colombian NGO looking to reconnect people and strengthening social fabric through their culture, education, and sustainability.
In brand building our challenge is to find identity! The brand DNA of this project was carrying confidence, empathy and inclusion in which partners and beneficiaries could feel the young, positive and energetic spirit of the brand.

Orígenes Colombia es una ONG que busca reconstruir tejidos sociales a través de la cultura, educación y sostenibilidad.
El reto era crear una identidad de marca que reflejara confianza, empatía e inclusión y, que tanto sus colaboradores como beneficiarios sintieran una marca joven, enérgica y positiva.
Taking into account the literality of the Spanish word “Orígenes” (Origins in English), we came up with three keywords: Fabric, ethnicities and colors. We translated them into representative images of Colombia (the dawn - the source of a river and - the earth/mountains) which were tied up with a vivid and intrepid range of colors through iconography, such as pictogram languages part of their ethnicities.

Teníamos 3 palabras claves TEJIDOS, ETNIAS Y COLORES las cuales sumamos a la literalidad de la palabra ORÍGENES y concluimos 3 símbolos que unen a Colombia por medio de tejidos con gamas de colores atrevidas y un lenguaje iconográfico como los pictogramas de sus etnias. Estos 3 símbolos eran: AMANECER - NACIMIENTO DE RÍO - TIERRA / MONTAÑAS.
Here, we used an unusual and less stiff typography which are commonly used by these types of organizations. We chose a different font in each single letter showing inclusion, as well as, flexibility by splitting and fitting one word in different formats. To do so, we developed an open graphic system that could be used on different surfaces, platforms and media without losing its identity. This opens a new world of applications.

Usamos una tipografía que descontracturara esa rigidez con la que se muestran este tipo de organizaciones, que reflejara la inclusión con cada letra diferente y la flexibilidad partiendo su nombre y adaptándolo a diferentes espacios. Para esto desarrollamos un sistema gráfico abierto que pudiera ser utilizado en diferentes superficies, plataformas y medios, sin que perdiera su identidad, siendo el punto de partida a un mundo de aplicaciones.
