Introduced in this workshop is the concept of subtraction as a
design operation. Boolean operations can create interesting voids
within a mass, manipulating the primary solid with the influence of
subtracted voids. In this workshop, a twelve ft. cube was used as a
base that accepted three smaller shapes as boolean subtractions.
The cube was studied in section drawings, a wire frame model, and
a solid spatial model.
