Superfine
Superfine is a Melbourne-inspired cafe in the neighborhood of Petaling Jaya, Section 17. Valenlim Studio was tasked by Superfine for rebranding its cafe. The experiential visual language was drawn from the founder, Larry’s love of space adventure.
The rocket logomark is a depiction of Superfine’s attitude towards the mind-blowing food it strives to serve. The logotype ‘Superfine’ evokes a sense of nostalgia with the use of slanted typography and colors inspired by the 90s arcade games. The studio developed the brand concept with a tagline — ‘Out of this World’, which underscores Superfine’s commitment to providing mind-blowing food and experiences for its patrons.
We injected Larry’s witty personality to the overall identity by incorporating his infamous pun – “I can’t think right now; I need Wi-Fi.” The coaster, on the other hand, is inspired by Ziggy Stardust’s lightning bolt.
