The Messenger
“The Messenger” was the first of a series of artistic interventions that took place in 2019 at the headquarters of the Canal Foundation in Madrid, on the occasion of its 18 years of activity.
It is an original digital art image designed in a size of 200m, cut and printed on 71 pieces of microperforated vinyl to cover the 120m of building windows. The image can be seen from the outside, while from the inside it becomes invisible, allowing the entry of light and maintaining the transparency of the window glasses.
The graphic motif represents a female deity, a Messenger coming from the depths of the water that comes to reveal a new way of thinking, something that perhaps we knew in the past and that we have forgotten today.

“La Mensajera” fué la primera de una serie de intervenciones artísticas que tuvieron lugar en el año 2019 en la sede de Fundación Canal en Madrid, con motivo de sus 18 años de actividad.
Se trata de una imagen original de arte digital diseñada en un tamaño de 200m, recortada e impresa en 71 piezas de vinilo microperforado para cubrir los 120m de ventanas del edificio. La imagen puede verse desde el exterior, mientras que desde el interior se hace invisible, permitiendo la entrada de luz y manteniendo la transparencia de los cristales de las ventanas.
El motivo gráfico representa una deidad femenina, una Mensajera procedente de las profundidades del agua que viene a revelarnos una nueva forma de pensar, algo que quizá sabíamos en el pasado y que a día de hoy hemos olvidado.
