Internal Workings of a Serial Killer

Within this collection of work, I was focusing on serial killers, and the idea behind the frontal view of a serial killer being very deceiving in comparison to the mental workings that are going on internally. Due to this I wanted to focus on portraiture, however I wanted to create a more interesting way of portraying underlying messages, hence the diced/sliced composition of the illustration.
Following this, I wanted to use models and inspiration from news articles that had previously been written about infamous serial killers. This included Ted Bundy who was profusely described as being "charming", "cunning" or "intelligent" and an unexpected man to deal such deeds, therefore allowing him to be unsuspected for a great length of time.
In conclusion to this exploration, I wanted to include the words used to describe previous serial killers within this modernised interpretation. Therefore using an oxymoronic way of showing this is through using the physicality's of my models, alongside a internal, anatomical depiction of the words within the face. As if the face is irrelevant, due to the internal workings.
