Dimitri Daniloff: Vide de Sens

In this new series by Dimitri Daniloff, he constructs a desolate existence at what feels like the edge of the world. Without staging the photographs or asking anyone to pose, Dimitri captures a generic cityscape, removes the surrounding elements, and what remains is reality, isolated. While he is known for his dismembered figures, Dimitri is now executing the opposite; dissecting cities to observe the people inside.

What is your favorite journey?
Just take me anywhere and I’ll be happy. I love traveling and if I don’t know where I’m going, it’s even better. Hopefully I’ll be going soon to the Spitzberg all the way up north, it’s the closest land to North Pole.

What is your most treasured possession?
My eyes, guess why?

What is your most marked characteristic?
I’m very curious, and not only about interesting things.

Who are your heroes in real life?
They don’t exist– everyone has a dark side.
