How to care for eyelashes after extension

How to care for eyelashes after extension
Expressive eyes and stunningly long, thick and raised lashes are the result of professional extensions. The procedure is not complicated, but it makes changes in the usual way of life. To have artificial eyelashes with you for a month, you need to follow certain rules. For further info, click here: eyelash extension aftercare

We'll have to disassemble the cosmetic bag, try not to sleep with our face buried in the pillow and postpone watching the new melodrama - you can't cry. I'll tell you what else needs to be done.

Arm yourself with a brush

The lifespan of artificial eyelashes is approximately 3-4 weeks. Gradually, the ciliary row is updated: some of the natural hairs fall out together with the artificial eyelashes attached to them. It is impossible to slow down, let alone stop the process, but you can make sure that the artificial eyelashes do not come off prematurely.

Immediately after the extension procedure, you need to comb the ciliary row with a special brush. If you find excess glue, ask the master to carefully remove it with a special tool. You can use an illuminated magnifying mirror to see if there is any loose material or the area where the lashes are stuck together.

Keeping emotions in check

On the first day, the adhesive base has not yet completely hardened, so contact with water and high temperatures should be limited. You will not have to wash your face, refuse to visit the bathhouse, sauna and pool, try not to get caught in the rain, and postpone going to the cinema for a new melodrama - it is better not to cry.

The restrictions are in effect for 24 hours. The next day, water and high temperatures are no longer scary. To keep the eyelashes better, you can use a special fixer that is applied to the hairs. It protects the eyelashes from moisture and other factors that will reduce wear.
Learn to wash

To prevent fake eyelashes in the sink after the first wash, you need to act carefully. Wash with water and try not to rub the area around the eyes with a towel. Then let the eyelashes dry, gently remove excess moisture with a napkin and comb the eyelashes with a special brush.

If water alone is not enough, micellar water or oil-free gel can be used.

I recommend that you do without cotton pads and balls - they will cling to the hairs and leave cotton fibers on them that are difficult to remove. You will begin to pull, twitch the eyelashes and thus provoke them to peel off.

To remove cosmetics, you need to take a cotton swab, dip it in a makeup remover and gently "walk" over the eyelid.

Eliminate bold textures

Many of my clients use eyelash extensions to avoid wasting time on makeup, but sometimes I still want to try a new eyeliner or eyeshadow.

Mascara is most likely not useful - after extending the eyelashes are long and raised. If you want to make them more expressive, I recommend using water-based mascara and applying it from about the middle to the ends. On natural eyelashes, mascara is usually applied from the roots, but in the case of artificial eyelashes, the adhesive base can be damaged.

You will have to remove from the cosmetic bag: cream shadows, primers, pencils and other products with an oily texture. An oil base is safe for artificial hair, but may weaken the effect of the glue. Instead of creamy textures, it is better to use dry pencils, loose pigments, powder eyeshadows and water-based liners.
