Inspired by problems I had with less-than-fully-functional furniture, I designed the Slant Desk to be the perfect work space. 

The simple, clean design features slanted legs that keep your knees bruise-free while you’re seated and a slanted desk top edge that’s comfortable on your wrists while you're typing. Shelves above and below the main work surface make it easy to stay tidy.
A steel frame and shallow profile minimizes the desk’s visual impact in a room, making it work well in a small space. 

I worked with Legacy Frameworks to make the design production-ready and to build a prototype. The Slant Desk inspired the furniture I later designed for the Chicago Design Museum store.

The angled legs keep your knees bruise-free

The small shelf is tall enough so your laptop will fit under it and back far enough to accommodate a second monitor. And keep a few small knick-nacks.

The grooves in the top shelf keep pencils from rolling away.

The bottom shelf provides hidden storage for cords.

The indentation in the back of the desk provides a space for the cords to reach the storage area below and prevents them from being pressed against the wall.

The beveled desk top provides a comfortable reach to the mouse.

The metal legs are magnetic so your notes are tidy.
