EVA
This was my second job for a Netherlands client. EVA: Evalueren, Vastleggen en Actie. You might be wondering how the language barrier affects the process. The truth is, as long as both parties know english and Google Translate is up, there is no such thing as language barrier.
So, for starters, this company already had a character design going. They gave me the character on a PNG image so my first job was to create a rig-able character on Illustrator. The thing about already having a character that has never moved is to create it and make it work.

When designing characters that will move using rigs, it is always imperative to think how the rig will work, so when you get a character that was not designed to move, you need to make some minor adjustments to it. All in all, the changes were not that big and not so noticeable, so it was perfect. Next up... the storyboard.
Storyboarding really took a different meaning for me working with European clients. They like to make sure they see what the final product will look like, even in the storyboard. So we know a storyboard is just a rough look of what the movement and pacing will look like.

When working with a client who is not familiarized with animation, storyboarding needs to look just like the final product, because otherwise they might get the wrong impression. It's only ideal for these types of clients.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find the EVA video with the full audio-design. So I'm uploading the version I rendered.
