Nature Therapy Branding Project

Play Therapy with Nature
This project focuses on the creation of a new brand called Playfully Wallflower. This company uses the elements of nature to engage in a refreshing and new way of therapy for participants.

The final outcomes of this project includes an activity book (main project outcome), name card, advertisement brochure, posters and a sample of an actual product called play silk that enhances the activities in the activity book.
Brand Philosophy:
Before the commencement of the project, a brainstorm was required and this was the final summary of what the brand entails, in order to have a clear direction to create a unique and effective brand identity.
Activity Book:
This is the main outcome of the project. This is 1/3 of the activity books that will be produced. Each activity book is based of Singapore's park connector network:
And participants will go on an adventure trail in different parts of Singapore (West, Central, East, etc) while engaging in therapy. As each part of Singapore looks different, each activity book will focus on the unique traits of that particular region of Singapore. Eg. For the East, it was the beaches and for the North, it was the forest-like terrains.

The activity book will mimic a storybook, recreating the childhood experience of reading bedtime stories. It will also include photographs and illustrations that will help stimulate a sense of wonder in individuals. Individuals will also be engaged by recording their experience through different mediums. This could be through the use of photography, painting, drawing, or even engaging with the elements of nature themselves.

For Enchanted Woods, the second activity book installation, it is based on the North side of Singapore. Here is the finalised outcome:
Branding
Collaterals (poster and name card) will come with the activity book, informing participants about the company’s brand, missions and heart. There will also be more information on the company’s unique programme so that participants are more aware of what they are participating in. These are important details that will help the participants, who are also the brand's dear customers, connect with the company and understand the purpose of the activities they are engaging in.

Playsilk
This concept stems out of the use of open-ended toys used for play. Playfully Wallflower will also come up with different tools and props that participants will use in their nature therapy experience. These tools will act like open-ended toys, thereby encouraging imagination and further interaction with the nature environment around them. One example of a open-ended toy that will be explored is play silks. These silks will come in different colours, according to the colour scheme of the brand.

Due to the Covid-19 situation, the country went under quarantine for about 2-3 months, leaving the printing shops closed for long periods of time. The silk could not be produced and only a mockup could be made.
Other samples:
Due to time constrain, the other books could not be produced. However, this was a sample of an initial book that I was looking to produced. This book was called Tidal Lull and was going to be based on the East side of Singapore, focusing on the costal islands (like beaches) in the region.
