Identity for the Curonian spit National Park

IDENTITY FOR THE CURONIAN SPIT NATIONAL PARK
Student project, 2020
The Curonian Spit National Park has two features. The first is the famous dancing forest with specific crooks of the trunks. The second is the highest drifting dunes in Europe. The trees' and dunes' curves became the reference point in the design of the entire identity. Some typographical elements in the artificial font have been deformed to visually resemble trunks of the trees and waves of the dunes. The font seems to dance.
The Curonian Spit Park is half owned by Russia and half by Lithuania. In addition, the park is visited annually by residents of nearby European countries, so the park's identity uses three languages: English, Russian and Lithuanian.

The Curonian Spit is a nature reserve with a huge collection of rare plants. A series of postcards with the main plants from the park's dendro-collection were offered as souvenirs. A system of pictograms was also designed, briefly telling about the features of each plant and its conservation status.
A pictogram system was also designed for the park's navigation. All names of tourist places are written in three languages
