I was invited by Twitch to participate in a campaign to create a new global emote on the platform, in order to support the black community.
On June 18, 2020, there was a live stream with the other artists who were also participating so that the public would vote and choose. Mine was the most voted and became the new global emote of the twitch: "Black Lives Matters".

Fui convidado pela Twitch a participar de uma campanha para fazer a criação de um novo emote global na plataforma, com intuito de apoiar a comunidade preta.
No dia 18 de Junho de 2020, houve uma transmissão ao vivo com os outros artistas que também estavam participando para que o publico votasse e escolhesse. O meu foi o mais votado e se tornou o novo emote global da twitch: "Black Lives Matters".

When I was thinking about the theme and how I was going to represent it, I had several ideas and executed several sketches. It was then that I realized that the answer was under my nose and that there would be nothing more representative for our struggle than a raised fist. Soon, I took a photo of my hand and used it as a base.
Quando parei pra pensar sobre o tema e como eu iria representar isso, tive diversas ideias executei diversos rascunhos. Foi então que percebi que a resposta estava embaixo do meu nariz e que não teria nada mais representativo para nossa luta do que o punho cerrado. Logo, tirei uma fotografia da minha mão e a usei como base.

After choosing the idea, I entered my second question: how will I represent the entire black community with just one color? Colorism is something that cannot be left out and I wanted all of them to feel represented.
So, for this reason I chose the color purple because it is also the color of the platform.
Após a escolha da ideia, entrei no meu segundo questionamento: como irei representar toda a comunidade preta com apenas uma cor? O colorismo é algo que não se pode ser deixado de lado e eu queria que todos eles se sentissem representados.
Então, por esse motivo escolhi a cor roxa por ser também a cor da plataforma.
It was very gratifying to have participated in this campaign, even more representing something so important. I consider that this victory is not only mine, but of the entire black community. It's my hand, but it's our fight.
Foi muito gratificante ter participado dessa campanha ainda mais representando algo tão importante eu considero que essa vitória não é apenas minha, mas de toda comunidade preta. É a minha mão mas a luta é nossa.
