Well-lit Matchboxes

This project is a work in progress. My grandparents collected hundreds of matchboxes across five continents throughout their lives. My grandfather traveled extensively, and when my grandmother accompanied him, she was sure to pick up a matchbox.
The eventual goal of the project is to create a coffee table book for my family that features these sometimes beautiful, always interesting mementos. I'm hoping that my grandmother can throw in a few stories, too.
I'm shooting these with my Nikon D3500 and 35mm Nikkor prime lens. My apartment gets beautiful natural light in the early mornings and my walls are white, which is what I'm using as the background. I'm also experimenting with using a mid-century slat bench under the window as a way to add texture. More to come.
