Blurring the Borders

In Asian countries which are dominated by builders duplicating a large number of residential spaces, In. Dot Design attempted to think out of the box for this case by adopting the simplest and most effective measurement to give a more vivid look of home.

The whole interior was redesigned to either a fully opened or semi-opened pattern. Firstly, by adjusting the thinking about wall, the door frame fixed in the bedroom and kitchen were cancelled and replaced by a bigger opening for entry and exit. Curtains and sliding doors that could be pulled freely were introduced to adjust the openness and closeness of each area.

Secondary, the three rooms and the living room were moved backward to form a 150cm-wide "light corridor" along the lighting window and via the opening of these rooms and the sunlight is able to go deeper into the house. The elevated wooden platform provides sitting and lying function, which has the space below utilized as the storage space.
