A project that started from a friend's great photo of a costumed model.
I already had in mind the concept I was going for after seeing the photo, so the next step for me was to collate the "props" I needed to execute my idea.
After initial clean-up & enhancements, I positioned the elements around the model and tried varying compositions.
Illustrating the wings took longer than I anticipated, for I wanted it to have an "unrealistic" look as much as possible.
I was also going for a "B movie"-type of poster, which was the reason for the cheeky title.
After overlaying the entire composition with slight noise and cropping to wallpaper dimensions, The Raven was finished.
