A series of cyanotypes inspired by Sally Mann's Southern Landscapes, these photographs are produced using black and white 4x5 film and investigate hidden, often forgotten spots in the artist's hometown of Alexander City, Alabama. The hushed atmosphere characterizing these places, in combination with the alternative printing process, together create a sense of mystery and melancholy, a resonating nostalgia, where the viewer may find a piece of him or herself.
