Droplet Lamp is a product fusing glass with a heavy hemisphere bottom to design a unique and highly functional lamp. Hand blown glass has a certain elegance and raw beauty to it, which comes from its curves and shapes. Minimal style that uses pared-down design elements, allowed the glass to become centre of focus.
Droplet lamp turns on and off at a simple tap of the brass touch sensor. This tap leads lamp to wobble but never fall. Sole brass ring among the white background makes it naturally attractive to tap.
White wooden bottom hemisphere filled with metal lowers the centre of mass which decreases its torque allowing lamp to not fall even when tilted. So no matter how much you push and pull the lamp, it always makes itself upright. Seeing the innovation in designing a minimal glass lamp, standless lamp was created.
Organic aesthetic puts this lamp into the centre of attention while retaining elegance and appeal which makes it minimalistic. Gradient of white that is infused into the lamp gives it a pure and comfortable feeling, all awhile keeping it lively. Tilt able nature adds to its liveliness, as users can feel entertained tipping the lamp and watching it return. There is a rubber band between glass and wood which holds a tight grip, yet it can be dismantled to change 9 volt battery.
Droplet lamp gives a friendly, radiant luminescence creating a comfortable atmosphere for the users. Use of a highly efficient LED lamp allows it to stay lit for long periods of time without heating up. This light performance makes for an emotional and entertaining product.
