Beautification work for retaining structure ST-7SE-A/FR61, Shatin
ST-7SE-A/FR61 is an appealing retaining wall sitting on the Shing Mun River cycling path, opposite to the Sha Tin Racecourse. It is a popular location for cycling, water sports and jogging. The thematic wallpaper design features a pair of cyclers riding in the bush, with the companion of two chimpanzees. It is designed with the intention to promote sport and a healthy lifestyle
This eye-catching forest scenery was created to enhance the experience of cycling along the Shing Mun River, bring new lives to the emotionless and exposed space. With a dimension 4.3m(H) and over 20m span, the wall feature stands out along the Shing Mun River and visible from far distance. It is hoped that the thematic design could provide the Shatin section of Shing Mun River a new landmark where pedestrians and kayakers would enjoy.
