Restrictions can be limiting, but sometimes they can also be very freeing. This bench is made entirely out of sheet metal, a material that, by itself, is very weak, but that can be folded and shaped to hold 100 times its own weight.

I worked within the restrictions handed to me, and was able to make a bench that both shows the thinness and fragility of sheet metal, and the structure that gives it its extraordinary strength.
