PERANAKAN SIDE TABLE
The Peranakan side table is a table inspired by the baba nyonya culture in Malaysia. The side table itself is designed with the modern traditional and decorative concept. It comprises the decorative patterns from the abstraction from peranakan tiles. The colour used for these side tables ae based on the baba nyonya favourite colours as they like bright colours. This side table is suitable for residential area and rooms with modern traditional concept.
The main inspiration of the drawer was from the peranakan tiles. The patterns of the tiles are made with the fusion of traditional window grill style. It is powder coated on the metal with matte surface to give it a rough texture. As for the table top it is curved at the edges and slight depth at the middle for a better surface support.
