New York Photography

NEW YORK, NEW YORK.
October 2019

For professional reasons, I had the chance to go to NYC for the first time. Beyond the personal joy, it was the opportunity to photograph landscapes other than mine.  I was particularly surprised by the colors, but also the silence in the streets. The city seemed incredibly quiet. Everything seemed to be a scenery, people were quite quiet and discreet. Even Time Square was surprisingly shy. Perhaps it was the parallel between the New York I imagined as a child and reality, always a little more tempered.

With this series, I tried to reproduce with the greatest fidelity what I saw, what I felt. It is also one of the series where the final visuals are the closest to RAW files. Maybe it's a certain photographic maturity, or maybe New York is beautiful enough that I don't need to optimize it.
